About Bicycling by Jay Rochlin

This is the beginning of my page about bicycling. Some travel. Some interviews with other people. Some links to articles, blogs, or Web sites that I like and think are useful.

Interviews

David Bohm
I call David a "functional fine art framebuilder."  He lives in Tucson and has been building steel lugged bicycle frames for more than 15 years. He maintains his own Web site where you can read and see more about what he does. I was curious about his thoughts on various bicycle subjects and thought you might be also. These are meant to be audio interviews, but I added a few photos so you could see what David looks like.

Here are his takes on:

  • Frame sizes (2:40)
  • Frame angles (1:38)
  • Crank length (1:15)
  • Who his customers are (1:10)
  • Lugs (3:23)
  • New steels (1:29)
  • Why steel (1:02)
